Horace: He did stuff

Horace lived a very exciting and adventurous life but one of the more interesting things to come from his life happened in death. On his deathbed, with no heirs, he donated his estate to Emperor Augustus. Horace's estate still exists and has now become a place of pilgrimage for the literary elite. What a wonderful meeting place for Latin teachers to hang out and drink tea.
