This is the second in a series of my Musings. This time I wish to disperse a rumor about one of the most notorious Roman Emperors. Shall we get started?
Nero was not really a people person. He wasn't a family man either. But if there was one thing Nero was good at, it was creating Chaos. He could make even the calmest summer day into a firestorm of nightmarish proportions. But while Nero was great at doing things like killing and arson, he was not a fiddler. There is a popular myth which says that Nero played a fiddle while Rome burned. But Wait! The fiddle wasn't invented until 10th century Europe. So that begs the question: what did Nero play while Rome burned?
